THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 8/
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 8 OF ORDINANCE NO. 42
PERTAINING TO SHUT-OFF NOTICES PERTAINING TO WATER
SERVICE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1. Section 8 of Ordinance No. 42 shall be amended
to read as follows:
Section 8.
SHUT OFF NOTICES
Water service will be terminated for non-payment upon
notice~to the customer at the billing address when the bill has
been unpaid for fifteen (15) days from the date the bill is mailed.
A reconnect fee of $20.00 will be charged before water service
will be reinstated in addition to delinquency charges.
When any customer has been previously notified of a delinquency
as set out herein and is delinquent a second time requiringnotiee.
a Fifty dollar ( $50~OO ) deposit will be required to continue
water service. Upon second notice, the water meter will be
pulled and not replaced until the deposit is paid in full. Upon
terminating the service, the deposit will be returned to the customer
together with interest at the statutory rate less any outstanding
water charges due to the City.
Section 2. All of her sections of Ordinance No. 42 shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall ~ake effect and be in force
and~,~ffect from and after its publication in the official City
