DEWEY Mayor 1 1 '7 MINUTES OF CALL MEETING OF LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL, JULY 31 , 1973 . A call meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the Coun- cil Chambers , 10 West Loudoun Street , Leesburg , Virginia , on July 31, 1973 at 3 :00 P.M . , pursuant to Notice of same , copy of which is at- tached hereto. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor. Pres- ent were Mayor G. Dewey Hill, Councilmen Walter F . Murray, Robert A. ' , Orr, John.W. Pumphrey, Herbert L. Ridder, C . Terry Titus and John A. Wallace , Jr. ; also Town Manager James W . Ritter, Jr. , Town Attorney George M. Martin, Planning Director Robert C . Forbes and Tow Treas- urer W. Emory Plaster, Jr . Town Attorney George Martin introduced Mr. William W. Koontz and Mr. A. Hugo Blankl ship, Jr. -of the law firm of Boothe , Prichard and Dudley, Fairfax, Virginia . Mayor Hill stated that the purpose of this meeting was to discuss the pending suit of L. H. Shor & Associates vs . Town of Leesburg , Vir- ginia , et al . On motion of Councilman Wallace , seconded by Councilman Ridder, Council voted unanimously to go into executive session at 3 :05 P.M. Cr) Council reconvened at 4 :40 P.M. and , on motion of Councilman CO Wallace , seconded by Councilman Murray, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: Q cn BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Leesburg, that the firm of Boothe , Prichard & Dudley, represented by Mr. Koontz and Mr. Blankigship, be retained , at their standard hourly rate and such other associated legal costs , to repre- sent the Town of Leesburg in the defense of a suit filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia by L. H. Shor and Associates , and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that John A. Wallace, Jr. , Councilman , and C . Terry Titus , Councilman, be available to report to the I attorneys on behalf of the Tow in this matter , and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the firms of Johnson and Williams and Dewberry , Nealon and Davis be authorized to consult with special counsel in regard to this suit.
