RESOLUTION 13 -2007
A RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING KARL SHARP FOR HIS
SERVICE TO THE RICHMOND COMMON COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Karl Sharp served on the Common Council (hereinafter "Council') from 2000 through
2007; and
WHEREAS, he led the Council with distinction as its chair for 2001 and 2006; and
WHEREAS, Karl Sharp has given generously of his time and seemingly endless energy by serving as
the Council Liaison on the Aviation Commission and Economic Development
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Richmond owe Karl Sharp a debt of gratitude for his unwavering
commitment to public service for the City of Richmond; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Council will deeply miss his enthusiasm, his genuine and giving
spirit, gentle humor, and his deep commitment to the citizens of Richmond; and
WHEREAS, the Council is inspired by the knowledge that, even though his formal service has ended,
Karl Sharp will remain a trusted and valued colleague;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana
hereby adopt this resolution commending Karl Sharp for his dedication, service and his commitment to
improving the lives of the citizens of Richmond.
Passed and adopted this _ 17 th day of _ December 2007, by the Common Council of the City
