HomeMy Public PortalAbout1974_01_15SPEC • • WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING January 15 , 1974 We, the undersigned, being members of the Town Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , do seve- rally waive all statutory and Charter requirements as to notice of time , place and purpose of a Special Meet- ing of the Town Council , to be held in the Council Chambers, 10 West Loudoun Street , Leesburg , Virginia at 7 :30 P.M. , Tuesday, January 15 , 1974, for the pur- pose of discussing a Personnel Study being performed by Daniel A. A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the Council Chambers , 10 West Loudoun Street , Leesburg , Virginia on Janu- ary 15 , 1974 , pursuant to Waiver of Notice attached hereto : Present were Mayor G. Dewey Hill , Councilmen Walter F. Murray, Robert A . Orr, John W. Pumphrey, Herbert L. Ridder and C . Terry Titus . Absent from the meeting was Councilman John A. Wallace , Jr. In the absence of the Clerk , Town Manager James W. Ritter, Jr. „ was appointed Clerk Pro-Tem. Mayor Hill called the meeting to order at 7 :50 P.M. , stating that this meeting was called for the purpose of discussing personnel .' and legal matters . Council unanimously consented to go into executive session. The meeting reconvened at 9 :39 P.M. , with no action being taken on legal matters . On motion of Councilman Murray, seconded by Councilman Ridder, the following resolution was unanimously adopted : BE IT RESOLVED, that the firm of Daniel A. Robinson and OP' Associates be directed to proceed with the next stage of fj the "Personnel Policies Study ," as shown in its proposal dated October 10 , 1973 , with the total time not to exceed 350 manhours , as shown in the proposal, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is understood that this study will be completed in time for submission to the State of Virginia for review and approval before July 1, 1974.
