MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL, SEPTEMBER 10, 197539
A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the
Council Chambers , 10 West Loudoun Street, Leesburg, Virginia, on Sep-
tember 10, 1975 at 10: 32 P.M. for the purpose of filling the vacancy
created by the resignation of Mr. Herbert L. Ridder. Present were:
Mayor G. Dewey Hill, Councilmen Charles E. Bange, Mary Anne Newman,
James A. Rock and C. Terry Titus . Absent from the meeting was Coun-
cilman Robert A. Orr.
On Motion of Councilman Titus, seconded by Councilman Rock, the
following resolution was proposed and unanimously adopted, as shown:
BE IT RESOLVED, that Mr. James H. Chamblin be appointed to
fill the unexpired term of Herbert L. Ridder.
Aye: Councilmen Bange, Newman, Rock, Titus and Mayor Hill .
Nay: None.
Council members voiced their pleasure in having Mr. Chamblin serve
in this capacity.
On motion of Councilman Rock, seconded by Councilman Titus, 1 ,
Council voted unanimously to go into executive sesstion to discuss
personnel at 10: 34 P.M.
Council reconvened at 10: 45 P.M.
Mayor Hill appointed Councilman Orr to serve on the Public Works
Committee to take the place of Mr. Ridder. He appointed Councilman
Chamblin to take Councilman Orr' s place on the Finance and Admninis-
tration Committee.
On motion of Councilman Rock, seconded by Councilman Bange, the
meeting adjourned at _10: 50 P.M.
