1995- 09 -21. Special Council Meeting
As there was only Councilembers Hughes and Youmans present
there was not a quorum to hold a Council meeting. Mayor Locklear
was present.

R E S O L U T I O N
the fiscal year of the City of Tybee Island begins on
January 1 and ends on December 31; and
Title 3 of the Code of Ordinances for the City of Tybee
Island, Georgia, and specifically Section 3 -2 -11
provides in part that the millage rate for annual ad
valorem tax upon all real and personal property within
the City shall be established each year by_Resolution
of the Mayor and Council; and
the Mayor and Council desire to set the millage rate
for the year beginning January 1, 1995 and ending
December 31, 1995 in compliance with the terms of the
laws of Georgia and the Ordinances of this City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
City of Tybee Island, in open meeting assembled, that the millage
rate of the fiscal year January 1, 1995 through December 31, 1995
be set at . 00 Sq 1 mils.

A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, certain territory has been annexed into the municipal
boundaries of the City of Tybee Island, Georgia, by an Act of the
Georgia Legislature, and such area includes the right -of -way of
former State Route 26, "Old Highway 80" east of Lazaretto Creek,
and
WHEREAS, the State Highway Board of Georgia, by order of
November 8, 1961, abandoned, among other things, that section of
"Old Highway 80" (State Route 26), and
WHEREAS, the City of Tybee Island wishes to accept the right-
of-way and to maintain Old State Route 26, "Old Highway 80 ", as a
municipal street, and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for the right -of -way to
be accepted by the City of Tybee Island and be maintained as
appropriate.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by Mayor and Council that the
City of Tybee Island through its Mayor and Clerk are authorized to
sign all appropriate documents in order to accept the conveyance of
that certain portion of Old U.S. Highway 80, State Route 26, east
of Lazaretto Creek to its intersection with the present Highway 80,
State Route 26.
