"CERTIFICATES OF HABITABILITY" OF THE CODE OF THE
BOROUGH OF CARTE~T
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret (the
"Borough") as follows:
Section 1 §99-4. Inspections is hereby amended as follows:
Any reference to the Bureau of Housing shall be deleted and
replaced with the Code Enforcement Officer.
Section 2 §99-5. Fee is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the
following:
The fee for said Certificate of Habitability or Temporary
Certificate of Habitability, including the review of statement and
inspection, shall be the same as may be required for a Certificate of
Occupancy and shall be paid with the statement setting forth the
vacation of the apartment in question.
Section 3 All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provision of
this ordinance are hereby repealed limited to the extent of any
such inconsistency.
Section 4 If any section, paragraph, sub-division, clause or provision of this
ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only
to the section, paragraph, sub-division, clause or provision so
adjudged and the remainder of this ordinance shall be deemed
valid and effective.
Section 5 This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication
according to applicable law.
