UINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL, JANUARY 10, 1977.
A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the
Council Chambers, 10 West Loudoun Street, Leesburg, Virginia on Janu-
ary 10, 1977 , notice thereof having been delivered to all members on
January 7 , 1977 . A copy of said notice is on file in the -Office of
the Clerk. Present were: Mayor Mary Anne Newman, Councilmembers
Charles E. Bange, Stanley D. Herrell , Jr. , Glen P. Cole, C. Terry
Titus and John W. Tolbert, Jr. Councilmember James A. Rock joined
the meeting at approximately 8 : 00 P.M. Also present wee Town Mana-
ger John Niccolls and Airport -Advisory Committee members John A.
Wallace, Jr. and C. Ronald Lowry. All members present acknowledged
receipt of notice of said meeting.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Newman t 7 : 37 P.M.
She stated that the purpose -of this meeting is to discuss Airport
matters, as well as -to apprise relatively new Council members of
events leading up to the present problems concerning the Airport
and its operation.

Mr. Wallace and Mr. Lowry presented a resume of the events and
circumstances mentioned above, along with the Airport Advisory Com •
-
mittee''s activities in relation thereto. Both were desirous of
having an Airport Authority to guide activities at the Airport.
On motion of Mayor Newman, duly seconded, Council voted unani-
r mously to go into executive session to discuss legal matters per-
taming to the Airport.
On motion of Mr. Bange, duly seconded, Council voted unani-
mously to reconvene at 10: 21 P.M. No action was taken.

On motion of Mr. Tolbert, duly -seconded, Council adjourned at
10: 23 P.M. -
