HomeMy Public PortalAbout1947-07-14 Meeting28 JULY 14, 1947 The Council of Bal Harbour Village met at the Administration Building at 8:00 o'clock P. M., July 14th, 1947 to act as a Board of Equalization for the tax roll for the period of January 1, 1947 to December 31, 1947. The following members constituting a luorum were present: Messrs. Southerland, Bonneau, and Massnick. Absent: Messrs. Graham, Jr. and Whittaker. Also present were Mr. W. H.Webb, Village !tanager, and Mary Wetterer, Village Clerk. As there were no taxpayers present, to protest the tentative tax assessments the Board of Equalization adjourned. The Council then considered the Budget as presented by Mr. Webb, Village Manager, for the period from May 1st, 1947 to September 30th, 1948 and the following resolution, upon motion of Mr. Massnick, seconded by Mr. Bonneau waa adopted. RESOLUTION No. 4. "A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF BAL HARBOUR VILLAGE, FLORIDA, ADOPTING; A BUDGET FOR THE SAID VILLAGE FOR THE PERLA) OF MAY 1, 1947 TO SEPTE'BER 3C), 1948." Upon motion of Mr. Bonneau, seconded by Mr. Massnick, the follow- ing resolution was passed. RESOLUTION No. 5. "A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF BAL HARBOUR VILLAGE, FLORIDA, MAKING A TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR OF 1947, AND FIXING THE MILIAGE ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN SAID VILLAAGE." Upon motion of Mr. Bonneau, seconded by Mr. Massnick, the meet- ing was adjourned. Attest: Village Clerk J JULY 14, 1947 Mayor
