COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
ORDINANCE NO. 10-2014
A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RICHMOND TO RECEIVE
DONATIONS FOR REGIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORK CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, is hosting the 2014 Regional Neighborhood
Network Conference from September 11 to September 13, 2014 to showcase a
variety of workshops in connection with state of the art approaches to
neighborhood improvement and urban and neighborhood development; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has the option of accepting or rejecting donations
for a specific purpose; and
WHEREAS, The acceptance of a donation for a specific purpose constitutes the appropriation
of such property for the intended purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that all donations during the calendar year 2014 for the 2014 Regional Neighborhood
Network Conference to be held from September 11 to September 13, 2014 shall be accepted and
gratefully acknowledged by the citizens of Richmond.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it also ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, that in the event any donations are received in amounts that are over and
above the funds needed to host the 2014 Regional Neighborhood Network Conference, the
surplus funds shall be used for the Neighborhood Services Clearinghouse for projects or other
conferences as needed.
Passed and adopted this 4-- day o 2014, by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
