CREATING A NEW CHAPTER 264 ENTITLED "WATERFRONT PARK" OF TH E
CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
IE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret follows:
Section 1. The Code of the Borough of Carleret is hereby amended and supplemented to
create a new Chapter 264 entitled "Waterfront Park" to read as folloxvs:
264-1. Intent.
The Mayor and Council declare that it is necessary and advisable to
regulate the use of the Waterfront Park for the benefit of both residents
and non-residents of the Borough of Carteret.
264-2. Rules and Regulations.
The Borough shall, by resolution, adopt and enforce such rules and
regulations as it deems advisable, or may be required by law, to provide
for the safe and orderly use and operation of the Municipal Waterfront
Park.
264-3. Boat Launch Permit Required; fee.
A. Any person wishing to launch a boat at the municipal boat launch ramp shall first
obtain a permit therefore.
B. Each and every person who is an owner of the boat or boats for which they scck a
permit shall pay a permit fee as follows:
Daily Permit $ 0.00 - $50.00
Annual Permit $ 0.00 - $200.00
C. Annual fees shall be for each year or part thereof. Annual permits shall cxpu'c on
December 31 st of each year, and must be reviewed annually.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provision of
this ordinance are hereby repealed limited to the extent of any
such inconsistency.
Section 3. If any section, paragraph, sub-division, clause or provision of this
ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only
to the section, paragraph, sub-division, clause or provision so
adjudged and the remainder of this ordinance shall be deemed
valid and effective.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication
according to applicable law.
