RESOLUTION NO. 60 -21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES WHEREIN THE DUTIES OF ASSESSING PROP-
ERTY AND COLLECTING TAXES PROVIDED BY LAW TO
BE PERFORMED BY THE ASSESSOR P:ND TAX COLLECTOR
OF THE CITY SHALL BE PERFORMED BY THE COUNTY
ASSESSOR AND THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR OF LOS
ANGELES COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City was incorporated on May 25,
1960, as a general law city of the State of California, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has executed a General Services
Agreement with the County of Los Angeles for the performance of ad-
ministrative affairs within the City by said departments and agencies
of the County of Los Angeles,
NOW, THEREFORE,. the City Council of the City of Temple City
DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Temple
City are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
City an Agreement dated May 25, 1960, with the County of Los Angeles
wherein the duties of assessing property and collecting taxes pro-
vided by law to be performed by the Assessor and Tax Collector of the
City of Temple City shall be performed by the County Assessor and the
County Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles and all assessments
made by the County Assessor as the same may be equalized or corrected
by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles or the State
Board of Equalization, shall be used as a basis for the levying of the
taxes of the City of Temple City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of May, 1960.
