A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held on
April 20 , 1982 in the Council Chambers, 10 West Loudoun Street,
Leesburg, Virginia pursuant to notice thereof having been de-
livered to all councilmembers on April 16 , 1982 . The meeting was
called to order by the Mayor at 7 : 53 p.m. , with the following
present: Mayor G. Dewey Hill , Jr . , Councilmembers Charles A. Bos,
Glen P. Cole, Marylou Hill, John W. Tolbert, Jr . , and Howard M.
Willis, Jr. ; also Town Manager John Niccolls, Director of Planning
and Zoning Robert C. Forbes, Director of Engineering Andrew G.
Shope, Assistant to Town Manager for Community Development Marc
Weiss and Town Attorney George M.- Martin. Absent from the meeting
was Councilmember Stanley D. Herrell, Jr. _
The Notice of Special Meeting was read by the Clerk.
On motion of Mr. Willis, seconded by Mr. Tolbert, Council voted
unanimously to go into executive session, pursuant to Section 2 . 1-344
of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended (a) , Exemption (6) for dis-
cussion of a legal matter pertaining to Brownell vs. Town of Lees-
burg and Planning Commission, et al :
Aye: Councilmembers Bos, Cole, M. Hill, Tolbert, Willis and
h Mayor Hill.
Q Nay: None.

On motion of Mr. Willis, seconded by Mr. Cole, Council recon-
CX vened at 9 : 43 p.m.
Q Mayor Hill advised that, as a result of the executive session,
Council decided that this matter will be turned back to the Plan-
ning Commission for a decision.
On motion of Mr. Cole, seconded by Mr . Willis, Council voted
unanimously to adjourn at 9 : 47 p.m. :
Aye: Councilmembers Bos, Cole, M. Hill , Tolbert, Willis and
Mayor Hill .
Nay : None .
