A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the
Council Chambers, 10 West Loudoun Street, Leesburg, Virginia on
August 23 , 1982 at 7 : 45 a.m. , pursuant to notice by telephone to
all members on August 20 , 1982 . The meeting was called to order
by the Mayor, with the following present : Mayor Robert E. Sevila,
Councilmembers Charles A. Bos, Marylou Hill , John W: Tolbert, Jr.
and Howard M. Willis, Jr. ; also Town Manager John Niccolls. Ab-
sent from the meeting was Councilmember Reginald K. Gheen.
On motion of Mr . Bos , seconded by Mrs. Hill , Council voted
unanimously to go into executive session, pursuant to Section
2 . 1-344 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended (a) , Exemption 11
(6) for discussion of a legal matter pertaining to annexation :
Aye: Councilmembers Bos, Hill, Tolbert, Willis and Mayor
Sevila.
Nay: None.
On motion of Mr. Tolbert, seconded by Mr. Willis, Council voted
unanimously to reconvene the regular session at 9 : 35 a.m. No action
was taken.
On motion, duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned at 9 : 37 a.m.
