WHEREAS, Mark Schwiebert is retiring after a 28 year career as an
elected official in the City of Rock Island, Illinois. The last
20 years as Mayor.
WHEREAS, There have been many citizens and organizations that
have benefited from Mark Schwiebert's leadership.
WHEREAS, We are most grateful for Mark Schwiebert's knowledge,
insight, and leadership qualities.
THEREFORE, The City of Riverdale recognizes and appreciates Mark
Schwiebert's many years of Public Service.

Dear Friends of Mayor Mark Schwiebert:
The City of Rock Island is going to be experiencing a change in
leadership. In May, Mark Schwiebert will be closing out a 28-year
career as an elected official in the City of Rock Island, the Cast twenty
as mayor.
Mark's influence has spread well beyond the boundaries of the city.
3 -Ce has been a strong voice for the Quad-Cities, the bi-state area, the
Rock Island Arsenal, as well as in Springfield and-Washington. Rock
Island and its citizens will be thanking Mark for all he has done on
our beha.f and we want to invite you to jjoinwith us.
There are countless citizens and organizations that have benefited
from .Mark Schwiebert's knowledge, insight, and leadership. We are
collecting letters andproclamations from individuals and groups and
wilt-present them in book form to Mark and his wife Debbie as a
meaningful reminder of the lives that Mark has, and will continue to
touch. If you represent a unit of government and would like to issue
a proclamation that could be included, that would be very
meaningful to Mark. If you wish to write a Letter or note sharing a
thought or recalling a special memory,please do so.
If you are receiving this letter as the head of an organization or chief
elected official and you feel that others in your group would like to
write a letter of their own,please share this invitation with them.
