GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
Executive Session
October 13, 1993
The Greencastle Common Council met in executive session on Tuesday, October 13, 1993 at
7:00 p.m. at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. On call of the roll the following members were shown
to be present: Councilor Tom Roach, Councilor Jerry Calbert, Councilor Sue Murray, Councilor
Charles Miles, Councilor Mike Rokicki. Also present was City Attorney John Zeiner.
Discussion ensued concerning the Zinc Mill site. Mr. Zeiner indicated that Mr. Loudermilk
has contacted an authorized asbestos remover for work at the site. Councilor Rokicki asked that the
front of the site be more obviously fenced to keep children out of the area. It was the consensus of
Council that Mr. Jerry Rowings meet with Mr. Bill Lawrence concerning the fence. The fence is to
be in place within five (5) working days or the city is to lake action to barricade the area and invoice
the responsible party. Sixty days was noted to be the first threshold for evidence of progress on the
asbestos removal and demolition.
With no further discussion, Councilor Murray moved for adjournment. This motion was
seconded by Councilor Rokicki, was carried by an aye unanimous vole, and the meeting was
adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
