OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
Whereas . . .the Aluminum Company of America having
been founded in 1888 for the purpose
of producing metal for many and varied
uses and
Whereas . . .the company in 1946 established a works
location in the community of Riverdale,
Iowa, for the production of this metal
and
Whereas . . .in maintaining this plant location, the
Aluminum Company of America has strength-
ened the economy of this area by provid-
ing employment opportunities for many
local people while contributing as a
good corporate citizen to the civic,
educational and cultural interests of
this community and
Whereas . . .the company has set aside this year of
1963 for the celebration of its Tgth
Anniversary
Now, therefore, I, Vann 1. Horrigan, by virtue of
the authority vested in me as Mayor
do hereby extend the congratulations
of the Town of Riverdale to the
Aluminum Company of America on this
anniversary occasion and wish its
people all success in the future.
Done this day, November 7, at the office
of the Mayor, in witness whereof I have
hereunto set my signature and caused
the Beal of the Town of Riverdale to be
affixed.
