AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ROOSEVELT AVENUE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires improvements to the Roosevelt Avenue
Pedestrian Improvement project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received 2 bid proposals
for the improvements to said project:
1. Diamond Construction, Inc. $ 99,106.50
2. Marvec Construction Corp. $112,639.00
WHEREAS, Diamond Construction, Inc., P.O. Box 450, Dunellen, NJ, has submitted the
lowest bid for said improvements as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough
Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has
recommended the award of a contract to Diamond Construction.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Diamond Construction for the improvements for
the Roosevelt Avenue Pedestrian Improvement project for the sum of
$99,106.50, in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals
and bid on same.
