Wayne Neddermeyer — Mayor in Chair Priscilla Arens - Clerk All members present The minutes of the regular meeting of March 5, 1968 read. Moved by Raymond Bosch that -the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of March 8, 1968 read. Moved by Rayburn Anderson that the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of March 13, 1968 read. Moved by Arthur Theis that the minutes be approved as read, after adding the words "in the Village Hall" to the motion witl regard to the Depot Hill Hearing. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of March 15, 1968 read. Moved by Arthur Theis that the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of March i8th read. Moved by Arthur Theis that we maot a donation of $150.00 to the North Shore Community Council. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to make a donation of 1300.00 to the Hamel Memorial Athletic Field. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. A petition from George Dykhoff, with four homeowners signatures, was submitted asking that they be deleted from the sewer and water project. Moved by Rayburn Anderson that we reject the petition of George Dykhoff and leave them in the sewer district. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Mr. 'Sullivan and Mr. Slebiska of the Wright Hennepin Cooperative Electiie Association appeared with regard to'seduring a building permit for a building to be erected on the corner of #55 and #87. They were referred to the Planning Commission. S ]Er. Mills discussed some of the roads with suggestions as to what may bd done to them tgis year. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to allow Engineer Hickock of Wayzata to run Electrica resistivity test along the area of #116 extended to attempt tp locate ground water source, cost not to exceed $750.00. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Motion carried. Appointment of new Planning Commission members. Moved by Raymond Bosch to appoint Arnold Erdman to a term of three years from March 1, 1968 on the Planning Commission. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter. Motion carried. Moved by Arthur Theis to appoint Ted Lockwood to a term of three years from March 1, 1968 to the Planning Commission. Seconded by Rayburn Anderon. Motion Carried. A'letter from Gerald Dykhoff was read in which he.tendered his resignation as building inspector to take effect as of May 1, 1j68. Moved by Harold Winter - Halter that we accept the resignation of Gerald Dykhoff as of May 1, 1968 and extend to him our heartfelt thanks for hes legigth of service to the Village. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to appoint Russell Boulcy, Jr. as building inspector as of May 1, 1968. • Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Anne Dorweiler showed maps to the Council with the latest' additions as to naming and numbering streets. A letter was read from the Hamel Volunteer Fire Department with regard to a fire ordinance. C. 0: Dorweiler explained some of the problems, etc. of the fire department when as many fires, occur as have lately. Notification given of the Hennepin County League of Municipalities meeting to be held Thursday, April 4th at 8:00 P. M. Moved by Harold Winterhalter that we authorize the building inspector and the treasurer to buy four drawer twin filing cabinets. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Moved by Arthur Theis to pay the bills: payroll in the amount of 81179.51 and order checks in the amount of $7233.95. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter. Motion carried. Ordinance with regard to junk yards read. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to adopt the junk yard ordinance and immediately publish it in the Minnetonka Sun. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. • Moved by Harold Winterhalter that the Village enter into an agreement with the Village engineer for the professional services for constructing sanitary sewer, water mains, deep well', water storage, sewage treatment and absorption ponds. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Moved by TTa.rold Winterhalter to follow the recommendations of the Auditor and close out the Road.Improvement Construction Fund in the amount of $1214.49 and the 1955 Curb and Gutter Improvement Bonds in the ',;mount of $121.63 deficit, and transfer the balance to the rec rea:ti_ _fynd. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to accept the audit report. Seconded by Aarold Winterhalter. Motion carried. Moved by Arthur Theis that the greeting adjourn.
