MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL, NOVEMBER 3, 1986.
A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held on November 3,
1986 at 6: 15 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 10 Loudoun Street, S.W. , Lees-
burg, Virginia, pursuant to Notice thereof having been delivered to all coun-
cilmembers prior thereto. Present were: Mayor Robert E. Sevila, Council-
members Charles A. Bos, Arl Curry, Brian T: Kelley, Jerry S. Pelkey, John W .
Tolbert, Jr. and Charles J. Williams ; also Town Manager Jeffrey H. Minor.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss commission appointments. Con-
sideration of the above involves personnel matters within the jurisdiction of
the town. Section 2. 1-344(a)(1) of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended (Free-
dom of Information Act) permits Council to discuss such matters in executive
session.
On motion of Mr. Kelley, seconded by Mr. Tolbert, Council voted unanimously
to go into executive session to discuss the matters referred to above:
Aye: Councilmembers Bas, Curry, Kelley, Pelkey, Tolbert, Williams and
Mayor Sevila.
Nay: None.
Council reconvened, with no action taken in executive session.
86-235 - RESOLUTION - APPOINTING REGINALD K. GREEN TO THE LEESBURG PLANNING
COMMISSION
On motion of Mr. Tolbert, seconded by Mr. Williams, the following resolu-
tion was proposed and unanimously adopted:
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Leesburg Planning Commission:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
Reginald K. Gheen is appointed to the Leesburg Planning Commission for a term
ending December 31, 1986.
Aye: Councilmembers Bos, Curry, Kelley, Pelkey, Tolbert, Williams and
Mayor Sevila.
Nay: None.
