Commissioner Michael Nott called the September 6th, 2018 Special Meeting of the
Board of Police Commissioners to order at 6:30 p.m. ln attendance were Commissioner Nott,
Commissioner Chapman, Commissioner Gardner, Chief Konopek and Cindie Blazina'
The minutes of the May 17th, 2018 meeting werc read, and Commissioner Nott moved the
minutes to be approved, Commissioner Chapman seconded the motion. All in favor.
Correspondence- The Commissioners were presented with an invoice from the Enterprise
Newspaper from the article that was published to notifu the public of the changes made to the
Commission's Rules and Regulations. Commissioner Nott motioned the invoice to be approved,
Commission Chapman seconded the motion.
Old Business- Upon agreement that the Commission will utilize VO Solutions for the
2019 Entry level Police Offrcer testing cycle, they began discussion on setting the preliminary
timeline of dates. The sample dates will be given to the testing facility for review, and finalized
at the October 2018 meeting. Due to the fact the coming testing cycle has been accelerated from
the previous years, the Commission discussed how the 2019 cycle needs to be laid out to ensure
faimess across the board. Any candidates on the current list will be notified and given the option
to retest, or remain with their cunent score, and become merged amongst the new candidate's
scores.
New Business- The Commission reviewed the budget for the 2019-2020 Fiscal Year and
approved as is.

ChiefKonopek expressed that the Police Departrnent is looking to hire two more
candidates offofthe current Final Eligibility List from the 2017 testing cycle. Due to the initial
low numbers of applicants, it is possible that the Commission may have to move down the list
and extend oral interviews to those that did not qualiff for the first round of interviewing. Update
to follow at October meeting.
There being no further discussion or business at this time, Commissioner Nott moved the
meeting be adjoumed at 7:33 pm.
