A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held on August 8, 1988
at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 10 Loudoun Street, S.W.,-Leesburg, Vir-
ginia, pursuant to notice thereof having been delivered to all councilmembers
prior thereto. Present were: Mayor Robert E. Sevila, Councilmembers James E.
Clem, Christine M. Forester, Donald A. Kimball, Claxton E. Lovin and John W.
Tolbert, Jr.; also, Town Manager Jeffrey H. Minor, Director of Planning, Zon-
ing and Development Martha Semmes, Town Attorney George M. Martin and Deputy
Town Attorney Deborah C. Welsh.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sevila. On motion of Mr. Kimball,
seconded by Mrs. Forester, Council voted unanimously to go into executive ses-
sion, pursuant to Section 2.1-344(a)(1) of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as
amended, for the purpose of interviewing candidates to fill the vacancy on
the Town Council, with the following staff to remain: Town Mananger Jeffrey H.
Minor, Director of Planning, Zoning and Development Martha Semmes, Town Attor-
ney George M. Martin and Deputy Town Attorney Deborah C. Welsh.
Aye: Councilmembers Clem, Forester, Kimball, Lovin, Tolbert and
Mayor Sevila.
Nay: None.
Council reconvened, with no action taken.
On motion made and duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
