Dear Mayor Sessions:
We are writing to encourage your support of the ban on the consumption of alcohol in open
containers on the southern end of Tybee, which is scheduled for a first reading at the City Council
meeting this coming Thursday, October 22.
As full time residents who visited this wonderful island for over 20 years before purchasing a home
here three years ago, we strongly feel that this ban would improve the quality of life for its
residents. Beach cleanliness, safety, peace & quiet - these are all aspects of residents' lives that have
increasingly been impacted, but would change dramatically for the better if this ban is enacted.
For the sake of Tybee's citizens, please thoughtfully and prayerfully consider voting in support of
this measure.
