Subject: RE: Follow-up on Discussion regarding First Reading, 2020-20 (Draft), Article 4, Chapter
22, Section 22-110 through 22-112, Noises
I agree completely. It seems like the city council asks for citizens who live here to comment or have some sort
of input. What is apparent is that is all fluff. None of our concerns are ever considered when it comes to the
city councils decisions. Is seems like the decisions have already been made prior to the meetings and the
meetings are just for show.
My husband is on insulin and if the power goes out for any length of time we will have to run our generator to
keep his medicine cold.
There are more and more of our rights being taken away.
It is disturbing to think that our own city council has their own agenda and not looking out for the concerns of
their constituents. The STVR work group is another perfect example. I do not feel Demery truly has all of the
citizens concerns in mind but to make more restrictions on anyone who owns a STVR. I feel this is just another
exercise for the sake of saying they did it. (I.e., moritorium, raising registration fees based on occupancy,
citations, etc.) It is not the STVRs fault the city is behind on revenue due to Covid. Without that income the
city would not have all that tax revenue.
I would like my comments be read exactly as written not a variation as we have seen in the past in Shirley's
notes at the meeting.
Thank you.

As I have read the most recent edits to the noise ordinance I do not see any provisions that allow for the running
of generators in the event of a power outage. I would like this detailed in writing within the ordinance itself.
1. Having a noise ordinance in effect 24 hours a day is ridiculous to say the least. While designated quiet
hours are acceptable during the night time any suggestion otherwise is excessive.
