Subject: I support ban on open containers
Dear Mayor and Council,
I support the proposed open container ban (14th to Fisherman's) as a reasonable compromise between personal
freedom and the protection of innocent citizens and city employees. This is a well reasoned approach to risk
management.
I'm a strong advocate for businesses on Tybee. Business thrives best and serves the community best when the
rules for good behavior are clear and the same for everyone. This ordinance may well cause affected businesses
extra thought and effort in the short run but in my view will benefit them in the long run just as it benefits our
community at large.
