Subject: Alcohol on the beach
I would like to put my two cents in on this issue. I think there are many, many people who can have a drink on the beach
(I'm one of them) and that should be fine. But if we need a law in place to justify arresting drunks, than I think we need
one. But I don't want to think that my daughter, my son-in-law, or I could be arrested when we come to the beach and
quietly enjoy our drinks. We drink out of cups, or our cans have coozies around them, and as long as we're not causing
any trouble, I would hope this would not be an issue.
I have personally witnessed college students, probably 21 or older, who litter the beach and enter the water with their cans
only to come out without them, and generally act obnoxious. If we need a law I place to prevent this, I'm in favor.
Thanks.
