AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF
A STREET SWEEPER
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires a street sweeper to serve the
residents of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received the
following bid proposal for the purchase ora street sweeper as follows:
1. Beyer Brothers $105,000.00 without
options
V~I-IEREAS, Beyer Brothers, 109 Broad Avenue, Routes 1 and 9, Fairview, N.J.
07062, submitted the lowest responsible bid for said equipment as evidenced by
the response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed the above bid proposal and
desires to award a contract to Beyer Brothers for the same.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are h~reby
authorized to enter into a contract with Beyer Brothers to furnish
one (1) street sweeper for the sum of $105,000.00 without options,
in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid
on SalTle,
Adopted this 2nd day of October, 2003
and certified as a true copy of the
original on October 3, 2003.
