WHEREAS, there exists a need for a written policy of the Richmond Parks and
Recreation Department concerning the terms and conditions of the
leasing of advertising space on its golf carts at Highland lake Golf
Course and Glen Miller Golf Course.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Richmond, by and through its Parks and
Recreation Board and its Board of Public Works and Safety, hereby adopts the following
principles and regulations which shall govern the lease of advertising space on its golf
course carts.
1. No advertising which may appeal directly or indirectly to sales of intoxicating
beverages, cigarettes, or other tobacco items will be permitted.
2. No advertising that is obscene or that advertises obscene matter will be permitted.
3. No advertising which relates in any way, either directly or indirectly, to political
activity, beliefs, or affiliations will be permitted.
4. The lessee will provide electronic art work/logo to the Director of Golf for
submittal to the printer and will, in return, be provided with a proof for final
approval. The cost of producing advertising decals shall be paid by the Richmond
Parks and Recreation Golf Division.
5. Advertising space on golf carts is leased on a seasonal basis from March I' to
November 30th of each year at the following rates:
$150.00 — advertising decals for two (2) carts with choice of course(s)
$ 85.00 — advertising decal for one (1) cart with choice of course
$ 65.00 — each additional decal for one (1) cart with choice of course
6. All charges for advertising space on golf course carts must be paid in full at the
time the advertising agreement is signed by check or money order payable to the
Richmond Parks and Recreation Department, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond,
Indiana 47374.
7. The Superintendent of the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is hereby
authorized to enter into advertising agreements to implement this policy on behalf
of the City of Richmond, as its signatory.
