Absent Eilderts. Werkman moved to approve the minutes of the June regular meeting. Meyer seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Van Heiden moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report for June. Meyer seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Werkman moved to approve the following bills for payment. Van Heiden seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Karen Menninga, presented the Library Report. Mark Wilfang, presented the Fire Department Report. The Fire Department received a donation of a trailer from Snittjer Grain. The pumper will be going in to Toynes for repair work. Nathan Vogel gave the Public Works Report including street repairs and emergency pumping. Wendy Lage, presented information about the planned remodel of the Memorial Building and an update of the grant process. Mayor Nederhoff gave an update on the shelter house project. The City Council discussed Terry Town’s request to purchase a portion of the alley north of his business. Van Heiden made the motion not to sell the alley. Buseman seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Buseman moved to approved Ordiance 07-2014 and ordinance establishing a sewer improvement fee. Werkman seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Van Heiden moved to suspend the rules and approve Ordinance 07-2014 upon the first reading. Buseman seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Meyer moved to adjourn the meeting.
