RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY REQUESTING ASSIGNMENT BY
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF PARKING LOT LEASES
IN TEMPLE CITY TO THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles before the incorporation
of the City ofTemple City leased four lots for public parking, the
lease payments being funded by certain parking meters located in the
business area of Temple City, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Temple City to secure
assignment of the said leases from the County of Los Angeles as a nec-
essary incident of retention and development of adequate public parking
in the City of Temple City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City
does RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City of Temple City does hereby respectfully
request the Board of Supervisors assign all right, title and interest
of the County of Los Angeles in and to the following described leases
to the City of Temple City:
(1) Lease by and between Temple City Securities Corporation,
Lessor, and County of Los Angeles, Lessee, dated February 4, 1954, of
that certain real property described as Lot 687 in Tract No. 6561 as
recorded in Map Book 72, pages 34 and 35 of Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, State of California.
(2) Lease by and between Temple City Parking Associates,
Inc., Lessor, and the County of Los Angeles, Lessee, dated March 9,
1955, of that certain real property described as Lot 643 in Tract 6561,
as per Map recorded in Book 72, pages 34 and 35 of Maps in the office
of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.
(3) Lease by and between Clyde Wesson & Pat McCook, Lessor,
and the County of Los Angeles, Lessee, dated February 4, 1954, of that
certain real property described as Lot 671 in Tract 6561, as per Map
recorded in Book 72, pages 34 and 35 of Maps in the office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County.
(4) Lease by and between Clyde Wesson & Pat McCook, Lessor,
and the County of Los Angeles, Lessee, dated January 25, 1954, of that
certain real property described as Lot 142 in Tract 6561, as per Map
recorded in Book 72, pages 34 and 35 of Maps in the office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 2: The City of Temple City finds that it is to the
best interests of the C.ty of Temple City to obtain an assignment of
the above - described leases from the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 3: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to make and execute any documents as shall be required and
approved by the City Attorney to obtain an assignment of the aforedescrib-
ed leases in Section 1 hereof.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple
City at a regular meeting thereof held this 27th day of June, 1960, by
the folllowing called vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Buchan, Dickason, Merritt, Tyrell & Fitzjohn
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None.
