APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1
ALLSTATE POWER VAC
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously
entered into a contract with the AllState Power Vac for the Manhole
Rehabilitation Project, Phase II; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T&M
Associates, has advised the Governing Body that a modification to said contract is
necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has advised the Governing
Body that said modification was unforeseen at the time of the award of the
original contract; and
WItEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has recommended that the
contract with the AllState Power Vac be modified in accordance with Change
Order No. 1 (see attached Change Order), providing for a time extension for the
completion of the contract from July 16, 2003 to July 30, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed Change Order No. 1 and with the
recommendation of the Borough Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council
of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That Contract Change Order No. 1, attached hereto and made a part hereof,
resulting in a time extension for the completion of the contract from July 16, 2003
to July 30, 2003 is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to executed Changer Order No. 1.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department, T&M Associates, and the AllState Power Vac.
