Harold Winterhalter - Mayor pro tem in Chair Priscala Arens - Clerk Minutes of the previous meeting of March 7, 1967 read. Moved by Rayburn Anderson that the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Minutes of the planning commission meeting of March 20, 1967 read. Leonard Brummer appeared with regard to permission to build a house and warehouse on property which he is going to purchase from Fidelis Eckes. Moved by Arthur Theis to grant Leonard Brummer a special use permit upon the purchase of land from Fidelis Hakes. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Moved by Raymond Bosch to authorize the building inspector to issue a building permit to Leonard Brummer. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Frank Ciskovsky appeared with regard to moving a house on part of the Watsche property. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to grant a permit to Frank Ciskovsky to move a house on the Watsche property. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. A member of tge Hennepin County Park Reserve appeared with regard to renew- ing the policing agreement for the 1967 season. Moved by Raymond Bosch to extend the present policing contract for one month until we get the extended contract to cover the balance of the 1967 season. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Motion carried. Tony Laurent appeared with regard to building a house on his farm. Moved by Arthur Theis to grant Tony Laurent a permit to build a house on, his farm. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Goorge Castongay appeared with regard to obtaining an off -sale beer license for the Caso Independent Oil Company. Moved by Raymond Bosch to issue George Castongay of the Caso Independent Oil Company a 3.2 off -sale beer license, for the balance of the 1966 season. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Men from Reinertson-Henning, Nelson Construction Company appeared with regard to obtaining a building permit for an office and garage storage building on the place where the old bard, which is to be torn down, is located. 34 Moved by Rayburn Anderson to Company for the construction storage. Seconded by Arthur Motion carried. grant a special use permit to Boyer Leasing of building for use as an office and garage Theis. Moved by Arthur Theis to grant Boyer Leasing Company a building permit. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to grant permission to' ReinertsonHenning, Nelson Construction Company to use #9 from #19 to Boyer Garage Service to bring in whatever equipment they need, provided a bond for $1000.00 is posted to cover any repairs caused to be made to the road. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Ronald Kath appeared with regard to getting a culvert for his driveway located in Independence Beach. Moved by Raymond Bosch to authorize the road super- visor to install a culvert at Mr. Kath's request. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Mobtdn carried. A number of residents of Medina Morningside appeared with regard to the dog situation in their vicinity. Ray Warne acted as spokesman. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to contact Mr. Doll to become dog catcher and when needed to be called by police officer to take the necessary action at that time to enforce the dog ordinance. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to adopt the following resolution: Whereas, it has been brought to the attention of the Village Council that there is a considerable dog nuisance problem in some areas, the Village Council here- in resolves to strictly enforce the ordinance, Chapter 6, Section 600. Seoonded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Wayne Allen appeared with regard to building a home for his father-in-law on the property where he lives. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to refer Wayne Allen's request to the Planning Commission for their study. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Arthur Theis read a letter from William Mills to the Park Board with regard to the Lake Improvement situation and a letter in reply from Mr. French. No action was taken on this matter. Moved by Raymond Bosch to authorize George Gubbins, the village attorney, to write a letter to Jack Lehtinen of Lakeview Resort in regard to cleaning up the place and removing the debris. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Raymond Bosch and Arthur Theis reported on a meeting which they attended at Corcoran with regard to municipal courts. Arthur Theis reported on the annual meeting of the SuburbRn Hennepin County Relief Board meeting which he attended. The main topic was a talk on alcoholism. Arthur Theis brought up the matter of Medina—?Iorningside Park. Moved by Arthur Theis to authorize consultation with the Village Engineer with regard to tiling and grading Medina 'lorningside Park. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to appoint Strand and Roe as auditors for 1967. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Discussed date for road inspection and decided to set a date later on. Moved by Raymond Bosch that we issue the Lake Telephone Company a new permit for extension to their building, the same to coincide with the new plans submitted. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Moved by Arthur Theis to pay the bills: payroll in the amount of $1,022.13 and order checks in the amount of $3,096.50. Seconded by Raymond Bsoch. Motion carried. Walter Kohnen talked to the Council with regard to the release of two tax —forfeited lots adjoining lots he owns in Independence Beach. He will come to the May meeting for furthndiscussion.
