AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEP-
TANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA YOUTH INSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Indiana Youth Institute Professional Development Grant Program has grant
funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department desires to submit a grant
application to obtain funds that will be used to cover the cost of registration for
staff at the American Camp Association 2008 National Conference as well as ho-
tel reimbursement; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as
follows:
1. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit
a grant application to the Indiana Youth Institute Professional Development Grant Program.
2. The City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department is authorized to accept said
grant funding in an amount up to Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($750.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Parks & Recreation Department, shall
be appropriated to cover the cost of registration for staff for the American Camp Association 2008
National Conference as well as hotel reimbursement;
