AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OFRICHMOND TO ISSUE RESIDENTIAL
PARKING PERMITS TO EXEMPT RESIDENTIAL 'VEHICLES
FROM THE TIME CONSTRAINTS OF LIMITED PARKING AREAS
WHEREAS, it becomes necessary to regulate parking in certain
areas of the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of th.e.Common Council for the
City of Richmond that such limited parking not
inconvenience residents within a limited parking area,
NOW THEREFQRE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond that
SECTION I the Board of Public Works and Safety may authorize
and issue residential parking permits to be used
by residents of an area designated by the Board
of Public Works and Safety. These permits shall
exempt the residents' vehicles from the time
limitations from a time limited parking area.
Permits shall expire on an annual basis on December
31st of each year and shall be available from the
City Clerk's office upon proof of residency within a
given area and the annual payment of $.50 payable to
the general fund which shall be used to offset the
cost of providing these permits.
