HomeMy Public PortalAbout041-1984 - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUNDAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 41-1984 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE SEARING TRUST FUND. WHEREAS, The State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972, Title I of Public Law 95--512 was approved October 20, 1972. WHEREAS, Section 51.04 of Part 51, Chapter I, Subtitle B, Title B, Title 31 of the Code of Federal Regulations provides as follows: A recipient Government which receives entitlement funds under the Act shall: (c) Provide for the expenditure of entitlement funds in accordance with the laws and procedures applicable to the expenditure of its own revenues. WHEREAS, pursuant to the said State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act, the proper legal officers of the City of Richmond, Indiana have established a trust fund known as the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDAINA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation, the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund for certain ordinary and/or necessary maintenance and operating and certain ordinary and/or necessary capital expenditures, said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED; FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND $80,000.00 $80,000.00 These funds are to be appropriated for the following: AIRPORT 4000-Capital Outlay: $75,000.00 $75,000.00 OFF-STREET PARKING 2000-Supplies 5,000.00 5,000.00 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor -and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergnecy appropriations. OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA She Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City June 18, 1984 , at the hour of 7:30 p.m. Councilman Elstro presided with the following members present: Messrs. The proof of publication aposting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Morris moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and o ered filed, seconded by Councilman Whitesell , and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 41-1984 President Elstro announced Ordinance No. 41-1984 was on public hearing.
