RE: Questions on ITB 2021-759- Renovation to Memorial Park Pavilion
Questions for Clarification
1.) Question: Are the new 2 by 8 roof rafters at along the lower perimeter with exposed
edges at the rafter tails to be pressure treated per note 5 under ROUGH CARPENTRY on
drawing S0.1? Or can they be standard SYP per note 3 under ROUGH CARPENTRY on
drawing S0.1?
Response: Due to a rise in lumber cost- all underside exposed 2x8 rafters to be
standard #2 SYP. All wood in contact with ground, concrete or masonry to be
pressure treated per structural notes
2.) Question: Wall section 5 on drawing A3.1 shows 1 by 6 PT exposed ceiling boards. Are
these to be T&G or square butt edges? Do these need to be no 1 grade KDAT since it will
be painted or can these be standard #2 grade treated material?
Response: The boards on underside of ceiling are square butt edges / board to
board, and not T&G. Due to rise in lumber cost, please price 1x ceiling board
material as standard #2 SYP material.
3.) Question: Confirm scope of electrical work. Confirm quantity and size of new fixtures.
The Project Manual provides a light spec but not specific sizes or a scope of work.
Response: The electrical service is existing on site, and due to removal of roof- new
wiring in conduit from the existing panel will need to be run for new lights. Conduit
will be run tight/clean to underside of structure and along roof/rafter to light
fixture. New fixtures are 4ft. long fixtures per spec, (10) total.

4.) Question: Drawing #A1.2 seems to indicate light fixtures on the reflected ceiling plan
however they are not labelled. Please confirm these are the new fixture locations.
Response: See drawing below. There are 10 lights total to be added under open
deck.
5.) Question: Is pavilion to be painted?
Response: Please delete all painting from the project, including the slab floor finish.
Owner will handle all painting.
