AN ORDINANCE AMENDING -CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE
NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to amend the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of Richmond, Indiana to allow Architectural, Engineer-
ing and Legal Offices as Special Uses; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan
Commission the 15th day of May, 1984, at which time remonstrances
were heard from all parties interested in or affected by this Ordi-
nance; and,
WHEREAS, the vote of the City Plan Commission was seven (7) to one (1) in
favor of recommending the passage of Amended Ordinance No. 51-1984.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
SECTION 1. That Article 21 of Chapter 154 of the Municipal Code shall be
amended by adding Article 21,013 which shall read as follows:
21.013 Architectural, engineering and legal offices, when
located on a primary, secondary or collector street
or thoroughfare as defined in Chapter 153 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
said Chapter being the Subdivision Control Ordi-
nance.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as by law required.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 154 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, BEING ORDINANCE
NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to amend the Zoning Ordinance
of the City of'Richmond, Indiana to allow certain professional
offices as Special Uses; and,
WHEREAS, a study of this Ordi"ance was conducted by the Richmond City Plan
Commission the day of 1984,
at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested
in or affected by this Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the vote of the City Plan Commission was to
in favor of/in opposition to recommending the passage of Ordinance
No. 51-1984.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
SECTION 1. That Article 21 of Chapter154 of the Municipal Code shall be
amended by adding Article 21.013 which shall read as follows:
21.013 Professional Office: An office offering professional
services to the public which does not involve any over-
the-counter sales of goods or merchandise and provided
that bhe offering of such professional services require
the holding of a certificate or license from the State
of Indiana and further provided that such professional
office is located on a Federal or State Highway or a
primary or secondary thoroughfare as designated by the
Public Development Plan of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
Said professional offices include, but are not limited
to legal offices, architectural offices, engineering
offices and certified public accounting offices.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval as by law required.
