Re:Award of ITB 2021-759: Memorial Park Pavilion Renovation
Background
The purpose of this project was to remove and replace the failing roof on the open air pavilion in Memorial Park, due to structure damage and dry rot. The City advertised for bids and
bids were opened on March 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.
Overview
The City received six (6) bids and all the bids were opened and read aloud and the apparent low bidder was Quintech Solutions. City staff reviewed the bids and found no issues with
the low bid.
Summary
Quintech Solution’s bid was $92,500.00 and approximately another $10,000 was spent for the design for the plans and specifications. The total overall cost of this project will be approximately
$102,500. The construction estimate for this project was $50,000 and we did a budget amendment of $75,000 to cover the higher costs of the project to award the project. SPLOST funds
will be used to cover all aspects of this project.
Recommended Next Steps:
I would recommend approving the budget transfer and awarding the bid to Quintech Solutions in the amount of $92,500.00.
