Home My Public Portal About04 - 2018 - SALARIES 9/26/2018 ORDINANCE 2018-4 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SIZE OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF CITY GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE, INDIANA, FIXING SALARIES FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF SUCH DEPARTMENTS AND FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN OTHER APPOINTED OFFICIALS FOR THE YEAR 2019 BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana, as follows: SECTION ONE: That the City of Greencastle shall pay all eligible employees 26 bi-weeklv pays effective with pay date beginning January 11, 2019 at the rates listed in the following SECTIONS below. In addition, all eligible full-time members of the departments of the City of Greencastle shall be paid longevity pay, calculated at a percentage of their base pay, beginning on the first day of the anniversary month of employment as follows: Months of Completed Employment Percentage of Pay Date of hire through 35 months (2 years, 11 months) 0% 36 months through 71 months (5 years, 11 months) 3% 72 months through 131 months (10 years, 11 months) 4% 132 months through 167 months (13 years, 11 months) 5% 168 months or more 6% Full-time members shall be compensated for authorized overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standard Act, 29 U.S.C.A. 207. Full-time members shall be eligible for two contributions per year to their individual Health Savings Accounts in the amount of$318 if they are enrolled in the City of Greencastle Health Insurance Plan, payable in January and July . Maximum contribution for the year, $636.00. SECTION TWO: That the Police Department shall consist of, up to, nineteen (19)full-time members, one(1) part-time clerical and, part-time crossing guards. Training Officer Pay Maximum $1,000/Year/Officer Uniform Pay$1,000/Year/Officer : Paid in semi-annual installments of$500 (January & July) Uniform Pay$500/Year/PVO: Paid in semi-annual installments of$250 (January& July) Pension Secretary Pay$350 payable last pay of the year 9/26/2018 SECTION THREE: That the Fire Department shall consist of, up to, nineteen (19)full-time members including one (1) full time building inspector and one (1)full time Safety Officer,plus seven (7) part-time firefighters, and one (1)full- time clerical position. SECTION FOUR: That the Department of Public Works shall consist of, up to, ten (10)full-time members and one (1) part-time members or nine(9) full-time members and three (3) part-time members.
