HomeMy Public PortalAbout1995_10_25SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 25, 1995 A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held on Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 25 West Market Street. Notice having been delivered to all Councilmembers priorthereto. The purpose of the meeting was to conduct a public input session for the proposed Public Safety Center. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Clem. ROLL CALL Councilmembers present George F. Atwell (absent) J. Frank Buttery, Jr. JeweH M. Emswiller (absent) Joseph R. Trocino Kristen C. Umstattd (absent) William F. Webb (absent) Mayor James E. Clem Staff members present Town Manager Steven C. Brown Chief of Police Keith Stiles Police Captains Chris Jones and Jeff VanGilder Police Sergeant William Potter Councilmember Frank Buttery and Leesburg Police Chief Keith Stiles provided introductions and initial remarks including a status report of the project. Mr. Robert Zoldos, a resident of 15 Country Club Drive, S.W., addressed the Council making several suggestions to improve the design of the proposed public safety center. Mr. John Yarbrough, a resident of 802 Rust Drive, N.E., addressed the Council congratulating and thanking the Council for their hard work in securing the site for the public safety center.
