AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within
the fund appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE
COUNTY, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following
additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set
apart out of the several appropriations, herein named and for the
purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same:

SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now
have uaobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes
for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following
existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its

EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the
Council Chamber the Municipal Building of said City October 1, 1984
at the hour of �' � P.M.
Councilman Elstro resided with the following members present:
Messrs. Williams Brookbank , Hankinson , Whitesell ,
Parker , Bodiker Lemoine Morris ,
Absent: none
The following business was had, to -wit:

The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of Public Law 54 and
Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the day of
, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations
as provided for in Ordinance No. , within the City of Richmond,
Indiana. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and
found to be correct and in order. Councilman moved the proof
of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded
by Councilman , and on voice vote the motion was carried.
The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 116-1984
President Elstro announced Ordinance No. 116-1984 was on public hearing.
After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 116-1984 was placed on
final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded:

Absent: none
The vote being 9 to in favor of passage of Ordinance No. 116-1984,

StLTEM Transfer Ordinance No.' 116-1984

This transfer is necessary to enable the .Department of Economic
Development to -purchase office equipment and carpeting to
re -furnish the old Bureau.of.Buildings room. The $4,000. covers
the fol lowing ;
Equipment $1,800.(Desk, Credenza, Chair, File cabinets)
Carpet & Drapes $1,800.
Misc small. items $ 400.

The cost of remodeling (i.e. moving walls) is being borne by the 1984
Board of Works budget - Building repairs.
The original budget for this office failed to include any 4000 category.
