JANUARY 17, 1996
A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held on Wednesday, January 17, 1996 at
4:30 p.m., in the First Floor Executive Conference room, 25 West Market Street. Notice having been
delivered to all Councilmembers priorthereto. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Ida Lee
Park Master Plan. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Clem.

A general discussion was held regarding the Ida Lee Park Master Plan and proposed skatepark.
Points of concern included:

How profitable a skatepark would be and whether an admission fee would be charged.
Recovered debt service on such a project
Balance of the parks and recreation and other expenditures.
Surveying the community as well as the skatepark users.
Preservation of open space.
Review of projects that the Parks and Recreation Commission view as viable.
Proposed costs of new projects.
List of priorities from the Parks and Recreation Commission.
On motion of, and duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
