HomeMy Public PortalAbout122-1984 - TRANSFER WITHIN THE PUBLIC TRANSIT FUNDTRANSFER ORDINANCE NO. 122- 1984 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE PUBLIC TRANSIT FUND WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered and set apart out of the several appropriations herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED PUBLIC TRANSIT FUND 1000-Personal Services $ 6,021.00 $ 6,021.00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED REDUCED PUBLIC TRANSIT FUND 3000 - Other Services & Charges $ 6,021.00 $ 6,021.00 SE C TIO N 3. EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Muncipal Building of said City on October 15, 1984 at the hour of 7:30 P.M. _ Councilperson Elstro presided with the following members present: Councilpersons Williams , Brookbank Hankinson ,Whitesell Parker , Bodiker Lemoine 1Iorris Absent: -none The following business was had, to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the date of (Public Law 54) Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the day of , 19 , by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilperson _ _ moved the proof of publication be received anf filed, seconded by Councilperson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 122-1984 President Elstro announced Ordinance No. 122-1984 was on public hearing. Maness, City Controller, File A change in IRS regulations regarding depositing of FICA taxes forcing 13 months of deposits in.l year, coupled with the amended salary ordinance and mended budget recognizing the raise given the bus drivers for`1984.necessitates additional Social Security taxes. (Remember the original 1984 budget didn't reflect the wage negoiations of November, 1983.) All insurance claims for 1984 have been paid leaving unobligated funds in insurance expense to cover the need
