AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2000 -4, AN ANCE
DESGINATING STOP INTERSECTIONS
WHEREAS, I.C. 9- 21 -1 -3 grants the City of Greencastle the authority to designate
intersections as stop intersections, which requires all vehicles to stop at one or more of the
entrances to the intersections;
WHEREAS, said statute requires the adoption of an ordinance designating stop
intersections;
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle adopted Ordinance 2000 -4 An Ordinance
Designating Stop Intersections setting out all stop intersections within the City of Greencastle,
and has amended it in Ordinances 2002 -18 and 2004 -37; and
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle has determined that a stop sign is warranted on
northwest corner on County Road 50 South, where it intersects with Fillmore Road, and wishes
to amend said ordinance to add that intersection.
THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City
of Greencastle, Indiana:
That Ordinance 2000 -4 An Ordinance Designating Stop Intersections is hereby
amended to add the following stop intersections for the City of Greencastle:
Street Name Intersects with Number of Stop Signs
County Road 50 South Fillmore Road 1
(northwest corner)
2. That all other intersections designated in Ordinance 2000 -4, as amended, remain in
full force and effect.
