HomeMy Public PortalAbout137-1984 - ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE PARK FUNDTRANSFER ORDINANCE NO. 137- 1984 AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER WITHIN THE PARK FUND WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to transfer money within the fund appropriated in the annual budget: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several appropriations herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: PARK FUND 3000 - Other Services & Charges AMOUNT REQUESTED $ 6,500.00 AMOUNT APPROPRIATED $ 6,500.00 SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts: AMOUNT REQUESTED AMOUNT REDUCED PARK FUND 2000 - Supplies $ 5,000.00 $ 5,000.00 1000 -Personal Services 1,500.00 1,500.00 Total $ 6,500.00 $ 6,500.00 SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect fro m and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana. EXCERPTS OF THE MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Muncipal Building of said City on NoypTnher 9 1984 at the hour of 7:30 PM Councilperson Elstro presided with the following members present: Councilpersons Williams Brookbank Hankinson , Parker Bodiker Lemoine Morris , Absent' Whitesell The following business was had, to --wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana on the date of Public Law 54 Said notice stated that a public hearing would be held on the d'ay of , 19—, by the Common Council to consider additional appropriations as provided for in Ordinance No. within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication was examined and found to be in order. Councilperson moved the proof of publication be received anf filed, seconded by Councilperson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 137-1984 President Elstro announced Ordinance No. 137-1984 was on public hearing. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. .137-1984 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: Ayes: Willidms Brookbank , Hankinson , Parker , o i er Lemoine _ _, Morris Elstro Noes: none ' Absent: Whitesell ' The vote being 8 to 0 in favor of passage of Ordinance No. t (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) There being no further business on a motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned. Maness, City Controller SUBJECT: Transfer Ordinance No'. 137 Park Department CWY T0: File, John Breese This transfer provides.sufficient monies to cover the last 2 months of 1984 utilities expense The reductions are in .fuel oil and payroll. The greenhouse is nowelectrically heated and therefore savings have been generated in fuel oll. The'$1,500.00 from payroll is from temporary layoffs.
