NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMONO, INDIANA ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968, PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON COMMERCE ROAD FROM M-2 GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AND C-4 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT TO C-4 GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. . WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968 desig- nates and describes as M-2 General Industrial District and C-4 General Business District, the property located on Commerce Road in the City of Richmond, Indiana; and, WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classi- fication of property located on Commerce Road from M-2 General Industrial District and C-4 General Business District to C-4 General Business District; and, WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducte y the Richmond City Plan Commission the 2,2-k-k day of , 1989, at which time remonstrances were heard rtf all par ies interested in or affected by this Ordinance. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was to b in favor of/in oppesitian recommending the passage of Ordinance No. 5-1980. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: SECTION 1. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the property described below be, and the same is hereby changed to C-4 General Business District, and that said property be regu- lated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond, Indiana and all amendments thereto. Lot No. 3 and Lot No. 4 of Parkland Industrial Park Section 2 SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as by law required. Re: Ordinance No. 5-1980 Plan Comission Case PC-80-2 Dear Mr. Paust, Members of Can romeil & Mrs. Trimble: The Richmond City Plan Commission conducted a public hearing an Tuesday, January 22, 1980, on the petition of Parkland Develop- went Company, Inc.; Darrelll. Beane, Agent, requesting a zone change for property located on Commerce Road fran M-2 General Industrial District to C-4 General Business District .for a pro- posed indoor roller skating rink. Eleven (11) notices of public hearing were, sent to adjoining property oT�nws.wi.th two (2) returned in favor of and none re- turned in opposition to the request. No one•spoke in opposition to the request at the public hwrin8. The request is a continuation of anexisting C-4 General Business District, and the present development along Commerce Read has occurred under C-4 zoning. A small portion of the petitioner's property is presently zoned C-4, and.the C-4;District represents a good transitional zone into the remaining industrial zoned pro- perty- Therefore, the Plan Commission voted eight (8) to zero (0) to recommend Ordinance No. 5-1980 be approved.
