WHEREAS, the Common Council of Richmond, Indiana passed General Ordinance No. 100-1979 known as "An Ordinance to adopt as part of the Municipal Code.of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, an Unsafe Building Law as provided in IC 18-5-5.5--1 of the laws of the State of Indiana"; and WHEREAS, Section 17 of Ordinance No. 100-1979 establishes a revolving fund to be designated as the "Unsafe Building Fund"; and WHEREAS, the Indiana Code 18-5-5.5-17 allows the establishment of such a fund; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate money to establish the "Unsafe Building Fund".. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, I4AYNE COUNTY, IN➢IANA: SECTION 1. That the following sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of Lhe several appropriations herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same: AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIAIED Unsafe Building Fund $10,000. $10,000. TOTAL $10,000, $10,000. SECTION 2. WEIEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will -not be needed for the purposes for which appropriated, it is further ordained that the following existing appropriations be reduced in the following amounts. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED REDUCED General Fund Community Development 1-1-6-5-0-5801 Board of Works/Demolition $ 500. $ 540. Board of Works 1-1-9-5-0-5100 Insurance 9,500, 9,500. TOTAL $10,000. $10,000. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
