HomeMy Public PortalAboutTBM 1967-09-11The Town Board of tare Town of Fraser met in regular session at 8 :15 P.M. en September 11, 1967 with the following members present: Mayor Florquist, Clerk Emal, Councilmen Bob Morrow, Charles Bride, Darvin Welch. Absent were councilmen Cary Morrow, Ernie Johnson and Frank Baker. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The bank statement was presented as of August 23, 1967, showing a balance of $8,007.17. Motion for purchase of a $2,000.00 Certificate of Deposit at Middle Park Bank was made, seconded, and unanimously approved. Clerk reported that a check for $136.57 representing a share of Flood Relief Disaster Fund surplus in the State treasury had been received. The following bills were presented for payment, and the clerk instructed that they be duly paid. Mountain Parks Electric $85.30 Mountain States Tel Tel $9.30 Charlene J. Emal $91.41 A. R. Macklberg $30.00 (Wright McLaughlin '$1,200.00 ?Broderick Wood Country Store $37.55 Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried that the bills be duly paid by the clerk. A letter was read from the county assessor, showing our valuation for 1967 at $150,895, and instructing us to certify our mill levy on or before October 16, 1967. After discussion it was decided to increase the mill levy 1 mill, to 27 mills, and the clerk was instructed to prepare the budget for 1968 to be approved at the next meeting. Discussion was held on hookup to town water mains at Workshire Acres Subdivision. It was agreed that the initial hookup would not be charsed until water was used, and that the rate of $100.00 for each water user (per tap) would be charged. Discussion was held on the possible sale of the 1951 Chevrolet Station Wagon which *s owned by the Town. Motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried that we sell the car, if an offer of at least $100.00 is received.
