Minutes
September 25, 2018 7:00 P.M. Greencastle City Hall
I. Call to Order; Roll Call
Mayor William Dory called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM; upon roll by Clerk-
Treasurer Lynda Dunbar the following were present: Adam Cohen, Stacie
Langdon, Steve Fields, Tyler Wade, Mark Hammer, Gary Lemon and Dave
Murray.
II. Public Hearing- 2019 Budget Hearing- No input from public — Motion by
Adam Cohen to close the public hearing, second by Mark Hammer, 7-0 motion
carried.
III. New Business
A. Ordinance 2018-3(First Reading) An Ordinance for Appropriations
and Tax Rates.- Motion by Stacie Langdon to approve Ordinance 2018-3
on first reading, second by Tyler Wade, 6-0-1 , motion carried. Steve
Fields abstained.
B. Ordinance 2018-4 (First Reading) An Ordinance Establishing the Size
of the Departments of the City Government of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, Fixing Salaries for the Employees of Such
Departments and Fixing the Salaries of Certain Other Appointed
Officials for the Year 2019.- Motion by Dave Murray to approve
Ordinance 2018-4 on first reading, second by Gary Lemon, 6-0-1, motion
carried. Steve Fields abstained
C. Ordinance 2018-5- (First Reading) An Ordinance Fixing the Salaries
of the Elected Officers of the City of Greencastle for the Year 2019.-
Motion by Dave Murray to accept all the salaries presented in Ordinance
2018-5 as presented, after discussion Dave Murray amended his motion
to freeze the common council pay to the 2018 pay amount which is
$4,878.00, second by Mark Hammer, 5-2, motion carried. Nay votes by
Mark Hammer and Dave Murray
IV. Adjournment- Motion by Dave Murray odi iss at 8: 6 P , eco by Tyler
Wade, 7-0, motion carried /iam Z�
