AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
8-J980 BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISH-
ING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR SER-
VICE RENDERED BY RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT,
THE MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC UTILITY SYSTEM
OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA AND
MATTERS RELATED THERETO.
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond adopted ordinance No. 8-1980
"Being An Ordinance Establishing A New schedule Of Rates And
Charges For Service Rendered By Richmond Power & Light, The
Municipal Electric Utility System Of The City Of Richmond, Indi-
andAnd Matters Related Thereto" on March 4, 1980; and,
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Common Council
of the City of Richmond that the schedule cf,rates and charges,
Exhibit "A" to'said ordinance, contained numerous typographical
errors which errors when corrected do not change the material
contents of Ordinance No. 8-1980 nor the rate increase therein
allowed R P & L; and,
WHEREAS, Council has been advised that it is necessary
to adopt this ordinance in order to correct all of the said
typographical errors appearing in Ordinance No. 8-1980 and Coun-
cil deems it in the public interest to so act.
NOW, T11EREFORE,.BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana as follows:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. B-1980 being "An Ordinance
Establishing A New Schedule Of Rates For Service Rendered By
Richmond Power & Light, The Municipal Electric Utility System
Of The City Of Richmond, Indiana And Matters Related Thereto"
adopted by this Council on March 3, 1980 and thereafter approved
by the Mayor on March 4, 1980 is hereby amended by deleting from
said ordinance Exhibit "A", which was attached thereto, being the
schedule of rates and charges for the municipal electric utility
system of the City of Richmond and substituting therefore Exhibit
"i" attached hereto and made appart hereof, being a corrected
new schedule of rates and charges for the municipal electric
utility system of the City of Richmond.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict horewith are hereby repealed; provided however, that
the existing schedule of electric rates shall remain in fulL
force and effect until the schedule of rates fixed by this
ordinance shall be approved by the Public Service Commission
of Indiana and further until such time as the orders of said
Commission approving said new rates shall direct.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
